- A polygon mesh is a collection of vertices, edges and faces that defines the shape of a polyhedral object in 3D computer graphics and solid modeling. The faces usually consist of triangles (triangle mesh), quadrilaterals, or other simple convex polygons, since this simplifies rendering, but may also be composed of more general concave polygons, or polygons with holes.
Shape[edit | edit source]
in Three.js: shape is a 2d shape plane defined by paths with optional holes. It can be used with ExtrudeGeometry, ShapeGeometry, to get points, or to get triangulated faces.
Compound Shapes in Physijs[edit | edit source]
Compound shapes are an efficient way to add complex geometry to the scene and are created by piecing together the available shapes in Physijs to create a larger, more intricate geometry. In three.js you would add these child geometries together by adding them to the parent objects
how merge meshes in Blender[edit | edit source]
addon BoolTool... Intersect (Knife) mesh operation: Combine two (or more) objects together with Ctrl+J In edit mode, select all of the faces of one of the meshes, the easy way to do this is to select one face and press Ctrl+L to select all of the linked faces Press Ctrl+F to bring up the faces menu and select Intersect (Knife), cuts will be made into the unselected faces where the selected faces overlap with them Select all of the faces and perform the Remove Doubles operation
